Europe - Echoes off the Path - Jack Buss

LIBRE-LIVRE Rubrique SHOPPING

Can we ever escape the path of blind harmony? Be more than echoes of convenience oscillating from our experiences growing up? If we can’t ever be free, how can we ever truly love, feel joy and take advantage of the world around us?

Four friends reach an inflection point after university. What begins as the natural setting off point to sharpen their world view quickly descends into the chaos and aftermath of intense love, police violence, suicide, political greed and a nasty habit of burglary. And then there is Paolo, seeking some kind of resolution at the end of his life as he watches the friends veer into the beginning of theirs.

While the author explores many issues from politics to evil in the backdrop of Basel, ultimately this book breathes life into hope and beauty.

About the Author:

Jack Buss is a hairy Swiss man, grumpy more often than not, but still he somehow seems to manage okay with other people as long as he isn’t around them for too long. This is, by the way, one of the reasons he decided that writing a book might be kind of a calling. Another reason was that he couldn’t find any books he liked. Whether this is because there are actually no good books or just because he is too lazy to look around, he didn’t specify. To find a place where he could better be himself, he moved to the countryside of Kent (UK) in 2020 and lives there happily ever after (as long as there’s no poop in the house from the dogs, cats, horses, or kids).
